Start Date: 09/09/1997 Ticker Symbol: ES Charting Symbol's are as follows, ES1M or ESM1 are the most common. Note: All trading in the E-Mini S&P 500 will occur on GLOBEX with the exception of all or none trades during RTH trading hours. Trading shall continue on GLOBEX until 8:30 a.m. the day following the last day of trading on the Trading Floor. GLOBEX Trading Hours for E-Mini's 3:45pm CST- 3:15pm CST (the next day) Monday through Friday. 5:30pm CST on Sunday - 3:15PM CST which is Monday's close. Also on Monday through Thursday from 10:00pm CST - 11:00pm CST the E-mini S&P futures contract pauses and does not trade for about 1 hour. Quotation: U.S. Dollars per Index Point Contract Size: $50 x S&P 500 Stock Index Delivery Months: March (H), June (M), September (U), December (Z) Minimum Tick (Size/Value): 0.25 or $12.50 1176.00 1175.75 1175.50 1175.25 1175.00 Each minimum fluctuation is .25 which is $12.50 and 1.00 is $50.00. One full point for example from 1175.00 to 1176.00 is 1.00 which is $50.00 Contract size calculation example: lets say the E-Mini S&P futures contract is trading at 1171.00, well at $50.00 per point multiplied by 1171.00 you get the contract size of $58,550.00 If the day trading margin to trade and hold 1 e-mini s&p futures contract during the day is approximately $2200.00 Initial margin. $58550 divided by $2200 shows you a controlling leverage of about 27 to 1.
